Welcome to the home of Seaworthy Portuguese Water Dogs. Our home is in Alabama on beautiful Lake Eufaula. We enjoy a great life with our four Portuguese Water Dogs Maddie, Drifter, Gidget and Dicey. We have been PWD enthusiasts since taking home our first PWD, Daisi, in 1995. All four of our dogs are indoor dogs living the good life. They get out often to enjoy the lake and their wonderful fenced in yard. They travel frequently to dog shows in our motor home and enjoy boating on the lake. We breed an occasional litter and our male, Drifter, is available at stud to approved bitches. Like all other breeds of dogs, PWD are special and require a loving, structured, enjoyable environment in which to live. They require a great deal of attention but always repay you for your time with their love. Please take time to research and get to know this breed. It is not for everyone, but for some it is "perfect." The Portuguese Water Dog Club of America is a great source of information.
Portuguese Water Dog Art for Health Fund Raiser
Founded in 2004 this health initiative was developed to raise funds for PWD cancer research. 100% of net proceeds from the sale of items on this site go to the Portuguese Water Dog Foundation (www.pwdfoundation.org/), earmarked for cancer research. According to the Portuguese Water Dog Club of America (www.pwdca.org/), "Cancer is currently the number one cause of death of Portuguese Water Dogs. It is also currently the number one non-traumatic killer of dogs in general." Thanks for stopping and always remember, a Portuguese Water Dog is a gift!
